A Dual Voice Coil (DVC) subwoofer combines two voice coils onto a single woofer, allowing some flexibility in wiring the subs to the amp. The XS-LD125P5 and XS-LD105P5 include two 4-ohm voice coils that - depending on how they're wired - can provide a 2-ohm or 8-ohm speaker load. By manipulating the number of subs and the DVC wiring scheme, max power can be extracted from the amplifier, while staying within its performance capabilities.
